The Clean Cooking Alliance (少妇自慰) welcomes the made by the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Executive Board at its to withdraw 鈥淭OOL30: Calculation of the fraction of non-renewable biomass鈥濃��(fNRB), effective as of January 1,鈥�2026. TOOL30 has historically allowed for unrealistically high estimates of fNRB, resulting in a聽risk of over-crediting for clean cooking carbon projects. Disallowing the use of TOOL30 is an important step in strengthening the聽integrity of the clean cooking carbon market.
In addition, 少妇自慰 supports the Board鈥檚 decision to approve default regional and national values of fNRB, now included in 鈥�.鈥� Approving these default values is critical for the stability of the carbon market and allows project developers to move forward with greater clarity.
少妇自慰 commends the Board鈥檚 decision to invite project participants, as well as coordinating and managing entities, to submit new methodological approaches for calculating fNRB values that further advance accuracy and conservativeness, for consideration by the Board.聽Further approval of harmonized and validated approaches to determining sub-national and project-level fNRB values, such as the peer-reviewed鈥�, will be crucial to incentivizing carbon project development in areas with the highest impact. 少妇自慰 is proud to be supporting the development of an online version of MoFuSS designed for this purpose, expected to be released in the coming months.
