Sakhi Unique Rural Enterprises Wins Venture Challenge Award
Earlier this year, Sakhi Unique Rural Enterprises (SURE) won a joint Alliance-Sankalp award for their work to provide women with livelihoods through clean energy products.
SURE has continued to attract attention to their important work, and most recently have been (AVC) – a national competition in India designed to identify, select and provide the best socially-focused ventures with access to mentoring, connections and funding.
These finalists will receive extensive capacity building support and the opportunity to access Rs 25 lakh (approximately $60K USD) of equity funding, if matched by the same in co-investment within the next eight months. That co-investment may take the form of grant, equity or debt.
